Day 1:

Saigon Arrival

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City. It's the country's largest city in Vietnam. Then enjoy an orientation tour through butling street to city center and en route to the hotel. Have lunch at restaurant in city center before a guided city tour. In the afternoon you will visit historical sites such as the Reunification Palace, the War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Post Office and Ben Thanh Market. Enjoy the rest of the day to explore downtown by your own.

Day 2:

Cu Chi Tunnels – Cao Dai Temple

Today you will travel to Cu Chi tunnel and Cao Dai Temple. You will spend a full day travel outside of Ho Chi Minh city. You first will visit the famous underground tunnel of Cu Chi. it’s consist of 250 kilometers of the tunnels and this tunnel network is not far from Cambodia border. Watch documentary film and listen to your guide introduction about three levels of tunnel; hospitals, booby traps, and storage facilities, hidden smoke kitchen, air holes and many simple weapons. Next you will visit the beautiful Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh province. This is a great opportunity to watch the noontime prayer service. The Caodaism was found in 1920 and it combines elements of Buddhism, Confucianism, Hinduism, Christianity and Islam as to bring peace to all people. You then enjoy lunch in town before returning to Saigon in the late afternoon.

Day 3:

Mekong Delta - Cai Be - Can Tho

After breakfast at hotel, leave Saigon and travel to Cai Be, Mekong Delta to explore local life both Island and River banks. Upon arrive in Cai Be at around 11:00 AM and start your tour by private cruise on Mekong River, view the beautiful cathedral which faces to River. Continue cruising to local cottage industries, family business to see how to make rice paste, rice cookies, and rice paper and coconut candies. Then return to your boat and sail cross Mekong River to Tan Phong Island to explore a beautiful creek by sampan boat; see daily life of locals along branch of Mekong River. You then stop and have lunch at local home in countryside by river and visit fruit orchards and traditional house which was belonged a landlord. Then your cruise will continue travel on Dong Phu canal to Vinh Long city where it is the other side of Mekong River and Your driver will be waiting for you. Finish your boat trip here in Vinh Long and relax on our private vehicle to Can Tho city

Day 4:

Can Tho - Chau Doc

Wake up early for a breakfast, leave the hotel and cruise to the colorful Cai Rang floating market which bustles with wholesalers on big boats and small sampan boats. During the morning hours, many wholesale boats anchor when small sampan boats moving through to trade with. The main items sold here are farm products, and every boat has a long upright pole at its bow from which samples of the goods for sale are hung. With real floating market makes the waterway becomes a maze of hundreds of boats packed with mango, watermelon, bananas, papaya, pineapple, and even floating broken rice, coffee bar vendors. After the floating market, then three hours’ drive to Chau Doc. Lunch en' route with a stop at Bang Lang stork garden. In the late afternoon, enjoy a boat ride to floating village; cash fish farm and Cham village, how people making traditional sarong cloths

Day 5:

Chau Doc - Phnom Penh

After breakfast, check-out the hotel then travel by speedboat up the Mekong River to Phom Penh, the Cambodia’s capital. Phnom Penh was once considered one of the most beautiful cities in the Orient with retains much colonial charm and it's located by Mekong River and great Tonle Sap. The speed boat ride takes about four and a half hours including visa application. Upon arrival in Phnom Penh around 12:00pm, be welcomed by the local English speaking guide and be accompanied to the hotel for check-in. After lunch at a downtown restaurant, enjoy your leisurely time and explore this city by your own.

Day 6:

Phnom Penh city tour

After your relaxing breakfast, be ready at lobby for a full day tour to explore lively city capital of Phnom Penh. in the morning,  have a cyclo ride to Wat Phnom temple, the founding place of the city on a small hilltop. Then continue along the riverfront to the Royal Palace which was built in 1866 and been the residence for many Cambodian Kings and Queens. The next stop is the National Museum, which was built in traditional Khmer style. In the afternoon, travel by private vehicle to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, a former school that was used as a prison during the Khmer Rouge. We finish the day at the Russian market where you will be able to buy a wide range of unique souvenirs. This market is famous for its amazing variety of shops.

Day 7:

Phnom Penh – Siem Reap by air

After breakfast, relax on your own time until a short flight to Siem Reap. Siem Reap is the gateway to Angkor and it's also the most popular destination for travelers in all of Cambodia. Be welcomed by our Vietnam Backroads team at the airport and will be taken to hotel for check in. After lunch, free time to take a walk and enjoy the atmosphere. Explore the old market wandering through the stalls and surrounding shops. It's time to get souvenirs; silks, cottons, sarongs, silver and statues and so on. 

Day 8:

Angkor Wat Temple Discovery

After you are picked at hotel, travel to  to the south gate of Angkor Thom followed by the Angkor Thom- the comprises of renowned Bayon Temples which was made up of 54 towers and 216 faces of Buddhisatva Avalokesvara, and Baphoun temples which was one the most spectacular temples during the Angkor empire heyday. Visit the Terrace of Elephant, which was used for the public ceremonies and served as the stage for the king’s grand audience hall, the Terrace of leper king and the ancient Royal Palace Phimeanakas. Continue to Visit Ta Prohm Temple, known as the “jungle temple” or “tree temple” referring to the lush trees surrounding the temple’s stones. The gigantic roots of the trees embracing the ruins have made it one the Angkor’s most popular temples. After lunch, spend the afternoon to discover Banteay Kdei temple which was built by the King Jayavarman VII in the late of 12th century. This sprawling temple, largely non-restored, was a monastic complex in much the same style of Ta Prohm temple. Then your visit continue to the WORLD HERITAGE SITE which is well known as Angkor Wat which is one of the most important archaeological site in South-east Asia which was built by the great Khmer King Soriyavaraman II in the early on 12th century dedicated to Vishnu God Hindu religion.

Day 9:

Siem Reap Departure

After breakfast, depending on departure flight schedule! You can do some shopping; visit to the workshops of Artisans d’Angkor to see wood and stone carving or shop for souvenirs or take a boat trip on Tonle Sap Lake before a transfer takes you to Siem Reap Airport.
