Day 1:

Saigon - Long An - My Tho - Ben Tre

We'll transfer 1 hour to Tan An, the gateway town in Mekong Delta, from Saigon. The morning ride is about 25 km on countryside rural roads, going through dragon vegetable farming, pennywort……. corn plantations, and riding paddy fields. You will have many stops to visit the family workshop, take photos, and enjoy coffee and fruit at the local market. We will have lunch served at a nice restaurant in My Tho city. On your cycling adventures in the afternoon, we will ride past fruit gardens and friendly and lively villages where locals do their business at home. We arrive at the local homestay and spend a peaceful night in the countryside.

Day 2:

Ben Tre - Cai Mon - Cho Lach - Vinh Long - Can Tho

After breakfast at the homestay, we will explore rustic villages and bike through nursery gardens, ornamental plants, and bonsai from Cai Mon to Cho Lach, Ben Tre province. Then, we turn onto minor routes and cycle long the Mekong River to Binh Hoa Phuoc, and An Binh islands, where we have lunch at a local home. In the morning, we will experience the local life of gardeners and learn how to grow baby trees and ornamentals on the way we bike from Ha Luong to Cai Mon to Cho Lach. In the afternoon, we continue cycling on paths by small branches of the Mekong River, and for the rest of the today, we cycle on a single track along the Mekong River and cross the Co Chien River by Dinh Khao ferry. Then we relax our legs on support vehicles to Can Tho city.

Day 3:

Can Tho - Thoi Lai - Co Do - Long Xuyen

Anyone who has been to Can Tho and seen a busy floating market will never forget it! A boat ride will take you to the floating market before biking starts. We cycle through Phong Dien’s countryside, which has many small natural creeks across many villages. After a fruit stop at Phong Dien, we continue to pedal our bikes on the track by the river and enjoy the daily activities of locals on rivers; grocery boats advertising plastic household goods, cargo boats selling sand for building, small, fast boats bringing pigs, ducks to local markets and many small ferries taking passengers to the different side. We will stop for lunch in the town of Thoi Lai. Then we continue to hit the paths and ride to Co Do and Long Xuyen. In the afternoon, you will cycle deeply into and bicycle on paths along manufactured canals as you race with local boats, water taxis, cargo boats, and sampan. The main mean of transportation over here is waterways. We will stop at Bang Lang Storks before having a short transfer to Long Xuyen City in the late afternoon. If time permits, we could have one more interesting to see; a crocodile farm.

Day 4:

Long Xuyen – Tri Ton - Ha Tien

Our bike adventure of today is to cross a farm land with 40km as its diameter. It was really quiet area and not so many people live here before 1975. But today is a nice place for bike adventures because governments encouraged people from big city moving to this place to make settlement. It’s the chance for us see the new thing today and we explore this area by bicycle about 35 to 45 km. By cycling in the afternoon, we continue our last day of cycling to Tra Su forest; you will have a short motored boat ride and sampan paddled through this forest before we ride to Ba Chuc village. A short visit to at memorial of Ba Chuc, then we realx on A/C vehicle to Ha Tien. Tour end! Mekong Delta Bike Rides
