Day 1:

Sai Gon – Ben Tre - Tra Vinh

Our team will meet and picks you up at the hotel; relax for an hour and a half driving on A/C van/bus through modern HCM city from Tra Vinh, Mekong Delta. We will arrive in the countryside of Ben Tre, and ride through quiet villages into many branches of Mekong River. Talk with local when waiting for a ferry coming back to take us to further side. We will have our lunch served at in the village. The routes in the afternoon are shady, small concrete paths, narrow, just enough for two bicycles, but the scenery is lovely. We will have many stops at some family workshops making coconut fibers and another making furniture before we cross the Mekong River by ferry to Tra Vinh city.

Day 2:

Tra Vinh – Cau Ke - Can Tho

Tra Vinh is small town and it is not touristy destination for tourists traveling by bus. So it is really quiet at night. After 8:30 pm everything is seem to be closed and almost sleep. Tra Vinh province is considered the homeland to Khmer and there are numerous Khmer temples in the province. A full day cycling of today is a chance you are not only learning cultures but also cycling on deeply to traditional villages of Khmer, stop and visit some thatch houses, experience the ways of living and visit some colorful temples on our way cycling to through Tieu Can to Cau Ke. After we have lunch in town, a fantastic bicycling begins after just half an hour transfer by van/bus to Vinh Xuan. We continue explore the beautiful rustic villages by cycling along canals, rivers fruit orchards and through rice paddy fields. We end up cycle and get on van/bus to Can Tho to check in hotel.

Day 3:

Can Tho - Sadec- Cao Lanh

We must see the two most exciting sites because one has funs and the other is related to French Indochina. The first site is a busy floating market in Can Tho, and we will go there by boat. The second site is an ancient house of Huynh Thuy Le. Who was in loved with Marguerite Duras, then the story became a movie. After we watched the floating market of Cai Rang, a short drive took us to Can Tho Bridge to start biking. From Binh Minh to Sadec town, we bike on back country roads, through sweet potatoes, family workshops making rice powder, brick factories, and pedaling along canals busy with boats moving up and down. Our delicious lunch is served at Huynh Thuy Le's house, and we have a rest before we ride to Cao Lanh City. We bike through the village of Flower in the countryside of Sadec; then we keep our afternoon cycling through many small riverside villages, mango gardens, and rivers, and we have a van/bus transfer to Cao Lanh city.

Day 4:

Cao Lanh - Xeo Quyt base - Ho Chi Minh

Cao Lanh is a new town after Vietnam War. Foreigners are rarely seen in this town because it is not an excellent place for bus tours. But bike routes are so unique. The place we start biking is about 30 minutes transfer by vehicle from Cao Lanh City. The quiet rural back road by small rivers gives you a fantastic ride with beautiful scenery along the way to Xeo Quyt, the former base of the Viet Cong. A local guide will lead you to see some shelters and a sampan rowing boat taking you into the forest. If time permits, our last ride is about 25 km on tracks through rice fields, irrigation networks, and fruit orchards. We end up cycling on the high road and have lunch for two hours, and a half returning to HCM by vehicle. Mekong Bike Ride
